About

I graduated from the Institute of Artistic Education (IWA) of Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland. I attended the sculpture workshop of prof. Slawomir Mieleszko. I started my professional career as a visual arts teacher in school. In 1992, I moved to France, where I combine my artistic creativity and my job in the graphic design industry.

Since 2015, I have been a member of the “Resonances62” Association, which organizes international art workshops in France.

“Over the years I have created my own style, obtained mainly with a knife, reflecting my feelings, my vision and my spontaneity. I am interested in ephemeral phenomena, games of colors and shapes. My work begins with a real landscape or an existing phenomenon, composed of shapes, colors and light, then transformed on canvas to create my vision which is not a reproduction, but an interpretation. For me, painting becomes a meditation and a search for forms that give me a sense of harmonization with my aesthetics. My paintings are opened to any interpretation, I allow the viewer to create their own perception and constantly discover new content in the image.” – Malgorzata Kolodziejak (Maggy)
